Overview
In comparison to conventional heating microwave assisted synthesis can be used to greatly reduce reaction times with increased yields and enhanced reproducibilty, usually fewer side products are observed.
Reactions can be performed in 10-ml or 35-ml glass vials with Activent caps (for pressurized reactions up to 21 bar). It is possible to run open vessel reactions using standard laboratory glassware (up to 125-ml round bottom flasks) with and without condenser.
